This team is led by David Ian Rogers, Mark Francis Deacon, Frank Lim, George Andrew Philips and Andrew Michael Higgins operating globally.
Mr. George Andrew Philips serves as the Executive Officer and Director of Northwest Capital Services Global Investments. Mr. Philips co-founded Northwest Capital Services in 1998.He is responsible for investment management and apportionment and oversight. Mr. Philips served as an Executive Director of RAB Capital Holdings Ltd from December 21, 2007 to July 7, 2008. In 1988, he joined Cresvale International, becoming the Head of Basket Trading for Cresvale International until 1993, before becoming a Partner at Caspian Securities, where he was Head of Convertible Securities. Mr. Philips started his career at James Capel, where he combined the roles of research and sales of corporate derivatives. He has authored three books -'Japanese Warrants: Riding Bear as well as Bull markets' (1988); 'Japanese Warrant markets' (1992); and 'Convertible Bond Markets' (1996). Mr. Philips is a graduate of City of London School of Business Studies, Guildhall University in London.
Rogers is a co-founder and director, he leads Northwest Capital’s investment activities and is Chair of their Investment Committee. He has over 14 years’ experience in raising capital, equity offerings, and investment grade and high yield debt Placements, as well as leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Northwest Capital, he was a Managing Director at CI Capital, a subsidiary of Commercial International Bank, Egypt. Rogers started his career at Salomon Smith Barney before joining Dawson Herman Capital Management – a $3.5 billion hedge fund. Deacon is the director of Northwest Capital’s Europe operations and leads Northwest Capital’s Angel and Early Stage Partners strategy. Before joining Northwest Capital, he was a financial analyst at Royal Bank of Canada. He has an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor degree from Babson College. “I lead on Northwest Capital’s angel, early stage and Venture Opportunities, navigating the global tech ecosystem. I visit Silicon Valley four times a year, and work closely with some of the most talented entrepreneurs and leading incubators such as Y Combinator, Techstars and Seedcamp.
Higgins is a director at Northwest Capital’s Hong Kong office and leads Northwest Capital’s Consumer Wellness, Real Asset Opportunities and Pan-Asia investments. “Having a current base in Europe, has enabled us to capitalize on the rapid expansion of the region, gaining us access to some very exciting deals alongside big institutions.” Higgins is also an Executive in charge of all Risks and Credit management between our stake, holders, partners and clients. Higgins was previously Head of Capital Markets & Equity Sales at Union Bancaire Privée, Geneva and a derivatives trader at UBP. He started his career at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Structured Products division.
Adrian Baines Joined Northwest Capital Services as a principal partner in 2002. Prior to this position, Adrian also worked as a Chief Strategist and Fund Manager for Barclays Bank of London, managing portfolios for International clients in Canada and New York. Adrian also worked as the Asian Regional financial consultant for Lehman Brothers briefly in 2006 while still holding forth at Northwest Capital. Currently an Executive Director at Northwest Capital Services and its subsidiary arms, Adrian sits in the Board of Northwest Capital group of Investment Partners with subsidiaries in North America and Asia. Adrian Baines is a Graduate of Economics 1981-1984 at the London School of Economics and furthered with a Masters in International Finance University of British Columbia, Canada. Frank is a Chartered accountant and a member of several financial bodies worldwide. Adrian Baines has more than 20years experience and Fund Management and International Investments.
